2 Ways to Complete the Training

Self Paced

Students may train using any combination of these training methods. Each share the same Training Modules. A team member receives certification after completing all Training Modules and passing the Online Certification Test through a Student Account.

Online Training Events

Sheepdog Church Security founder Kris Moloney trains with you and others during weekly live events via Zoom Meeting. Together we watch training videos and discuss implementation for your church. Each webinar covers a different church security topic. All of our Training Modules are covered four times a year. (See Schedule Below) *Students receive invitations for 270 days from time of registration.

Whether you need to make up a missed Online Training Event or you prefer to train on your Own Time and Computer, you can watch the same videos that we use for the Online Training Events. *This is also where you will take the Online Certification Test.

Office Hours

    Gain new insights through the exchange of information about challenges, experiences, and shared goals with other church safety and security practitioners.

  • Bi-Monthly Zoom Meetings

    Two Thursdays every month active students and alumni are invited to participate in an open discussion with Kris Moloney. This is a less formal online gathering to talk about our training materials and other safety ministry challenges.

    Invitations for the Thursday Office Hours will be sent one week prior and will be held at 10 AM Central Time Zone. Other times are available by appointment!

    Graduates of the Safety Member Certification can join the Alumni Association which is designed to connect safety and security practitioners from the same Region.

  • How many hours of training is the certification course?

    Total training time to complete all of the modules is between 12 and 16 hours.

  • How long does it take to complete each of the individual modules?

    Plan for each module to take about two (2) hours.
